For over a century, Martha’s Vineyard, MA has been one of the premier summer destinations on the east coast.
During the summer, the population of Martha’s Vineyard rises from around 15,000 to over 100,000.
There are only 5 places in the U.S. whose names are allowed to include the possessive apostrophe by the United States Board on Geographic Names. Martha’s Vineyard is one.

There’s one place on the island that still makes boats the old-fashioned, handcrafted way. Which is our favorite kind of way.
